Enes Žuljević . "Sailing through the subconscious"

This small series consists of 4 works which show ships and boats. These digital works are made of two or four separate digital photographs of roofs, which are put together to resemble some kind of boat or ship. The ship has been used as a symbol of the subconscious, especially in literature and the visual arts. I took these pictures in Graz, Austria in 2013, because the shapes of some of the roofs reminded me of these boats. Since in Graz literature plays an important part, I put this small series together. I feel like these ships have almost a surreal quality; like something out of a dream. And it is in dreams that we tap into our subconscious.
