Cancer is the epitome of the struggle of humankind...life vs death.... man vs nature... man vs fate/chance. With cancer being so personal and widespread the personal and social aspects can't be dissected out. Whilst the patient is going through their own turmoil, the observer has their own experience. Do we look away? Do we engage? Do we admire the beauty and bravery? Do we recoil in horror? I present My Cancer. |
