"Photographs are the basic foundation of my art. The prerequisite for creating my work is that my starting point is never a blank canvas. I prefer to start with a dialog, a journey of adding depth and layers to the existing work.

Threading through an image I am stitching and connecting two time dimensions; past and present. Telling a new story through threads, creating a new layer that was not there before. Connecting lines, creating anchors in the space around the images. The images I choose to work with are old photo albums of families that I don't know, in places I've never been. Carefully I select the images that have something special about them, touching my own personal memories."
