I construct my projects with poetic gestures that show themselves through nostalgia, curiosity, and reflection. This playful manner of creation stems from a need to disrupt the natural state of a material or image. Through this disruption I find my ideas about perception to be constantly challenged on varying levels and degrees. In these photographs I create a space between the bottom layer and the reflective surface layer. By layering these images I create a displacement of the images and the illusion of doubling. The viewer is forced to see the images from a different perspective with each move they make. In these photographs I illustrate how we may see things differently but how we are binded through our human qualities.
